FOS: Tactics of the Lich is a dark fantasy turn-based strategy game with roguelike progression, grid-based tactical battles, and an undead army under your command. Awaken as an ancient Lich whose empire has fallen. Dark energy still remains within the cursed fortresses, and it is time to rebuild your forces, recover your power, and fight your way back to the throne. Command undead warriors, mages, creatures, and monsters in tactical battles where positioning matters as much as raw strength. MASTER TURN-BASED TACTICAL COMBAT Every battle takes place on a grid where each move can change the outcome. Move your units into position, choose the right abilities, protect your crystals, and manipulate enemies before ending your turn. Enemy attacks are prepared in advance, giving you a chance to read the battlefield and react. Move out of danger, interrupt enemy plans, push opponents into obstacles, redirect attacks, or turn their positioning against them. FOS rewards tactical thinking, careful positioning, and creative solutions. BUILD YOUR UNDEAD SQUAD Unlock new units and create a team that fits your strategy. Different heroes and creatures bring different abilities to the battlefield. Use ranged attacks, melee strikes, healing, artillery, movement abilities, shields, knockback, pulling effects, and other tactical tools. Experiment with different combinations and find new ways to overcome each encounter. DEFEND THE DARK CRYSTALS Your army is not the only thing at risk. Dark energy crystals share a common pool of health that carries between battles during a run. Protect them carefully: losing too much energy can end your journey through the fortress. Sometimes destroying every enemy is only part of the challenge. Good positioning and battlefield control can be just as important as dealing damage. ROGUELIKE PROGRESSION Each run is a new tactical challenge. Fight through fortress floors, adapt to different battle layouts, earn gold, collect artifacts, and strengthen your units as you progress. Artifacts can change how your squad plays by improving stats, abilities, healing, defense, battlefield control, and other effects. Between runs, collect shards, unlock new units, and expand the tactical options available to your army. USE THE BATTLEFIELD Combat is built around more than direct attacks. Push enemies into other units or obstacles. Pull targets into dangerous positions. Swap units. Create fire and other battlefield effects. Protect allies with shields. Use terrain, distance, and attack direction to control the fight. The best move is not always the one that deals the most damage. Sometimes moving one enemy by a single tile can change the entire battle. FACE DIFFERENT ENEMY TYPES Your enemies follow different tactical roles. Some rush your units and try to lock them in place. Others attack from range, support their allies, or create dangerous areas around your squad. Learn how each enemy behaves, predict their next action, and find the weak point in their formation.
