Momento

Momento helps you reduce mindless app usage by adding a simple pause before using distracting apps. You choose which apps you want to limit. When a selected app becomes active, Momento displays a short pause screen so you can take a breath and decide whether you really want to continue. Each allowed session can be time-limited to help you stay intentional and avoid endless scrolling. Features: • Pause before using selected distracting apps • Time-limited app sessions • Daily summary of pauses and time saved • English and Hebrew • No ads and no account • App-usage and pause data remain on your device Accessibility Service Usage Accessibility access is optional. Momento can use Android’s Accessibility Service for more immediate detection when an app you previously selected becomes active. When Accessibility is enabled, Momento receives a window-change event and the package identifier of the active app. This information is used only to determine whether the active app is one you selected and whether Momento should display its pause screen. Momento does not read screen contents, messages, passwords, typed text, browser content, notifications, or the user interface of other apps. It does not perform clicks, gestures, screenshots, or other actions on your behalf. Accessibility-derived information is processed locally on your device. It is not transmitted to Momento servers, sold, or used for advertising. Without Accessibility, Momento can continue detecting selected apps through Android Usage Access, although detection may be slower on some devices. Momento shows a clear in-app disclosure and requests your explicit consent before opening Android Accessibility settings. You enable the service yourself and can disable it at any time. Momento is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities.
