Bethtel by BethNet

Bethtel is the calling app for BethNet internet and telephone clients. It turns your Android phone into an extension of your BethNet business line, so you can make work calls over your data connection instead of using mobile airtime. Sign in once with the credentials BethNet issues you and the app configures itself. There are no SIP settings to enter, no server addresses to look up, and nothing to set up by hand. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Place calls on your BethNet business line from anywhere with an internet connection • Receive calls to your BethNet number, even when the app is closed • Dial from a full keypad, or straight from the contacts already on your phone • See a list of your recent calls • Mute, switch to speakerphone, and send keypad tones while on a call • Place encrypted calls where your account is configured for them BUILT FOR BUSINESS USE Calls go through BethNet's telephony platform using your existing SIP account, so they carry your business number and are billed to your BethNet account rather than your mobile airtime. PRIVACY Bethtel does not record or store your calls at any point. Your contacts are read on your device only, purely so a saved name can be shown instead of a bare number, and are never uploaded. Your recent-calls list stays on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app. WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU INSTALL • Bethtel requires an active BethNet telephone account. It will not work without credentials issued by BethNet, and it is not a general-purpose calling app. • To receive calls, Bethtel stays connected in the background. This is off until you turn it on, uses a little battery, and shows a small permanent notification while it is on. • Individual calls are limited to 30 minutes. • Bethtel cannot be used to call emergency services.
