Full description
Your network. Under control. Mikat turns your home's security into something you can see and understand. Instead of technical tables, your home appears as a RADAR: every device connected to your Wi-Fi is a dot on the screen. At a glance you know what's on your network, what's fine, and what needs attention. WHAT IT DOES • Discovers the devices on your Wi-Fi network: phones, computers, TVs, cameras, consoles, printers and more. • Shows your home's status with a visual radar and a simple traffic light: fine, review, or act. • Explains risks in plain language: what's happening, how serious it is, and what to do. • Checks your connection from the outside (your public IP) to detect exposed ports and services, with your permission. MADE FOR PEOPLE, NOT EXPERTS No jargon. Every finding comes with a simple explanation; for vulnerabilities, the details and the steps to fix them come with Plus and Enterprise. A NOTE ABOUT YOUR ANTIVIRUS Because the app inspects the devices on your network, some antivirus or firewall products may show a "port scan" alert during analysis. That's normal and expected: it's the app itself working on YOUR network, not a threat. Use Mikat only on networks you own. PRIVACY FIRST Mikat works on YOUR own network and YOUR own connection. It doesn't capture the content of your traffic, doesn't scan other people's networks, and doesn't sell your information. The external check runs only against your public IP and only with your explicit consent. On Android 12 and below, the location permission is used ONLY to discover nearby Wi-Fi networks and devices — never to track your location. PROTECTING YOUR CONNECTION (VPN USE) Mikat uses Android's VpnService to provide "Safe Exit", an encrypted connection you can turn on when you're on a network you don't control: a café's Wi-Fi, an airport or a hotel. Why it's needed: protecting your connection on networks you don't own is part of what Mikat does. Without VpnService, Android doesn't let any app encrypt the device's traffic, so there would be no way to offer it. How it works: when you turn it on, your device's traffic travels encrypted with WireGuard to Mikat's exit node. Private keys are generated on your device and never leave it. You turn it on yourself and can turn it off whenever you want; it never activates on its own. It's a Mikat Plus feature. What it is not for: it isn't meant for watching other countries' catalogues or for streaming services. MIKAT PLUS (OPTIONAL) Mikat is free: it checks your network as often as you like, looks for vulnerabilities on your devices and saves what it finds. Mikat Plus shows you the details of each vulnerability and what to do, keeps watching your network and alerts you the moment a stranger connects or a risk comes back — even when the app is closed — and protects your connection wherever you are. If there's a welcome offer, the store shows it to you before you pay; then it renews automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play. You can sign out and delete your account and data at any time from the app. A product of Lanicom S.A.S. (SilverX).

What's new

What's new in Mikat 2.1: - Miko introduces the app and explains what each permission is for before asking for it. - Dangerous-site alerts are now on in every plan; the details (which site, which device) come with Plus and Enterprise. - Every plan looks for and saves vulnerabilities on each device and port; they close on their own once fixed. Details and what to do come with Plus and Enterprise. - With the VPN on, you can still see the devices in your home. - Fixes and performance improvements.
