Wolfon teaches you to recognise birds by their songs and calls, and it does it by showing you the sound as well as playing it. A real recording plays while a spectrogram is drawn in step with it, so every whistle, trill, buzz and repeated phrase becomes a shape you can learn rather than a noise you try to memorise. THE SCOPE Play the recording, watch the trace, pause it, scrub the timeline, jump back to a phrase marker and listen again before you answer. Then pick the species from a shortlist. Replays are counted, so you can see yourself needing fewer of them. FEEDBACK THAT TEACHES A right answer is recorded against your streak and accuracy and may add a bird to your life list. A wrong one sends you back to listen again and then explains the shape or the sound that separates the two species. The point is a listening skill, not a score. SESSIONS Structured rounds built on a mix of birds, one family, one sound shape or one difficulty level. Some are relaxed and untimed, speed rounds put a clock on each question, and every round ends with correct answers, questions, accuracy and the detail behind them. SHAPES Lessons on the recurring spectrogram patterns - trill, whistle, buzz, warble, chip and repeated phrase - each with a visual example, a plain-language explanation, the species that show it and a way straight into practice. THE LIFE LIST The songs you have mastered, with the date you first named each one, how many times you have recognised it since, and your best result by replays needed. Searchable, filterable, and openable for review and replay. PROGRESS Overall accuracy, performance by bird family, current and best streaks, total identifications and songs mastered - so you can see which groups still need work. THE FIELD REFERENCE A detail screen per bird: common and scientific name, family, region, call description, its shape summary and the clip itself. ON THE DEVICE Every recording and its spectrogram data ship with the app, so the learning works with no connection at all. Interface sounds and bird playback are separate settings, and progress can be reset whenever you want.
