Loftup Spark

You can have the whole roof worked out, drawn to scale and written down as a cutting list 📋 before you climb the ladder with a saw. Loftup Spark puts the building itself on the screen in section and lets you drag ✋ it: pull the span across the wall plates, turn the pitch dial, or grab the head-height line and pull it to the clearance you actually want standing up in the loft, and the drawing redraws under your finger with every figure moving live. Nothing is typed into a keypad 🎛️. As you drag, Loftup Spark works out the true lengths for commons, hips and jacks, the plumb cut and the seat cut, the birdsmouth depth, the paired bevels at every junction, the ridge height and the eaves overhang, and it hatches the part of the loft you can genuinely stand up in so you can see 👀 what the pitch is costing you before a single stick is cut. Change the timber section or the grade and the whole roof answers. It ends where the job actually needs it to end: a numbered cutting list, grouped by member, with both bevel angles set against every length in aligned figures, that you tick off at the bench as each piece comes off the saw. If the shell is already standing, photograph the gable, set the scale on a brick course you have measured, and tap the real span, plate level and existing pitch straight off the picture. Ten timber members are drawn out with what each one does and how it seats, twelve setting-out tools with which step of the job needs them, and a nine-fault key covers what goes wrong at the eaves, the ridge and the verge, how to check for it and how to put it right. Loftup Spark holds several roofs at once, so the garage, the extension and the cottage each keep their own figures and their own list, and it works on site with no connection at all. What you can do: set a span, drag ✋ the pitch until the loft stands up, and walk to the bench with every stick and every angle already written down.
