Full description
Spending hours scrolling without even noticing? Octoscroll helps you take back control of your screen time. The idea is simple: you pick the apps that waste your time (social media, videos, games…), you set your limits, and Octoscroll blocks them when you go over. To unlock extra time, you don't pay in minutes of scrolling, you answer general knowledge quizzes. You turn an automatic reflex into something useful. ⏳ TAKE BACK CONTROL OF YOUR SCREEN TIME • Block any apps you choose • Set your own personalized time limits • Track your screen time and your progress 🧠 UNLOCK WITH KNOWLEDGE, NOT WITH SCROLLING • Answer general knowledge quizzes to earn more time • Pick your favorite topics (history, science, movies…) • Learn something instead of scrolling on autopilot 🐙 STAY MOTIVATED FOR THE LONG RUN • Watch your knowledge level grow • Earn XP and level up • Keep your streak of days without excessive scrolling alive • Unlock shields 🔒 YOUR PRIVACY FIRST • Your screen time data stays 100% on your device • It's never shared or sold • No ads WHO IS IT FOR? Octoscroll is made for anyone who wants to cut their time on social media, fight doomscrolling (mindlessly scrolling and getting lost in your feeds), improve their focus, get better sleep, or simply reclaim time for what really matters. A real digital detox, the gentle way. HOW DOES IT WORK? 1. Choose the apps to limit 2. Set your time limits 3. When you hit the limit, the app gets blocked 4. Answer a quiz to unlock more time, or take a well-deserved break SUBSCRIPTION Octoscroll offers a subscription with a free one-week trial on the annual plan. You can cancel anytime. Take back control. Scroll less, live more. Download Octoscroll and get as smart as an octopus! 🐙 ------ Use of the Accessibility API Octoscroll uses Android's AccessibilityService API for its core functionality: blocking the apps you chose to monitor once their daily time limit is reached. The service only detects which app is currently in the foreground (its package name), so it knows when to show the blocking screen and when to count usage time. This is the only reliable way on Android to block an app at the exact moment it is opened. Octoscroll does not read or collect the content displayed on your screen: no text, no credentials, no passwords, no keystrokes. This data stays on your device and is never sent to a server, shared, or sold. The service is never enabled without your consent: you turn it on yourself in the Android settings, and you can turn it off at any time from Settings > Accessibility > Octoscroll.
