The Language Player app allows you to consume media content in a foreign language with interactive transcript. The app supports 217+ languages. For example, if you are learning French, you can watch a video from a library of 40,000 videos in French, including TV shows, music videos, movies, news, audiobooks, etc. The video will have subtitles in both English and French. If you tap on any French word in the subtitles, you will see a definition of the word. Language learning is mostly about input, i.e. reading or watching text, audio, or video in the target language. The challenge with input-based learning methods is that, while such methods are proven to be effective, learners often struggle to find an easy way to find suitable material with which such acquisition process can take place. Language Player aims to solve this problem.
