Light Learning teaches your child's actual syllabus, in their own country's words, and it does it with no account, no internet connection, and nothing collected about your child. From then on the app chooses the next topic from what they have actually answered, aiming at the level where roughly five answers in six are right, because that is where children learn fastest and give up least. Every recommendation tells you why it was chosen. A child can work above their year in one subject and below it in another. Nothing is locked. THERE IS NO SERVER Not an offline mode. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no network code that could send anything anywhere. It runs in flight mode on a plane with no signal, which is also the reason it collects nothing: there is nowhere for it to go. Work, names and certificates stay on the device. SEVEN LANGUAGES FOR THE GROWN-UPS The interface speaks English, French, Spanish, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Chinese, so a parent can read the report in their own language while the child works in the language of their school. A REPORT YOU CAN ARGUE WITH Time spent inside lessons, not time with the app open. Questions answered and how many were right first time. Accuracy by subject, with every figure shown alongside the number of questions it came from, so you can tell 80% of five from 80% of fifty. CERTIFICATES WORTH EARNING Finish every topic in a grade and the app issues a certificate carrying your child's name, the grade in their country's own words, the full name of the curriculum and the real number of topics mastered. Mastered, not attempted, so it cannot be collected by tapping through. Printable at A4. Charging for them would charge disabled children more than everybody else.
