Loquivox

Loquivox translates spoken conversation in real time, so people who do not share a language can still take part in the same discussion. THREE WAYS TO TALK Two-Way Call — two people, one device, face to face. Pass the phone back and forth, or lay it on the table between you. Each person speaks their own language and hears the other in theirs. Conference — one room, up to seven languages on one screen. Designed for meetings around a table: everyone sees what is being said in their own language as it is said. Remote Call — up to 50 participants, each on their own device. Share a room code or a QR code. Everyone speaks and listens in their chosen language, with optional video and a chat that is translated for each participant. BUILT FOR REAL MEETINGS Loquivox was designed with multilateral and institutional settings in mind: turn-taking, giving and withdrawing the floor, and rooms that scale from two people to a full assembly. It was presented at a workshop of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie in July 2026. LANGUAGES THAT USUALLY GET LEFT OUT Alongside major world languages, Loquivox supports Haitian Creole — an official language of a UN member state spoken by twelve million people, for which most commercial voice services offer nothing at all. Extending coverage to under-served languages is a deliberate part of this project, and of the research behind it. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Your conversations are not recorded, not stored and not used to train anything. Audio is processed to produce the translation and then discarded. Video and original-voice calls travel directly between devices. What stays on your phone — your name, your languages, your call history — never leaves it. Loquivox is developed by CREDIA INC., a Québec research centre working at the intersection of diplomacy and artificial intelligence. Real-time translation requires an internet connection.
