Full description
Open a signed markdown file and see, at a glance, what it says and who stands behind it. Vecto Reader opens .md files the way a PDF reader opens a PDF — tap it, and the document is there. Properly typeset, in the same layout the tool that produced it intended, with a table of contents you can navigate and search you can rely on. If the file carries a signature, the reader checks it. On your own device, offline, in the moment you open it. WHAT IT TELLS YOU Three separate questions, kept apart, because they fail for different reasons: Does the document still say exactly what was signed, or did something change afterwards? Who signed it — a person, or a system acting for an organisation? Is the issuer of that certificate one this reader recognises? The answer sits in a bar above the document. One tap opens it, and every claim underneath is checkable: the name, the moment, the issuer, the fingerprint, the algorithm. NO SIGNATURE, NO PROBLEM Not every markdown file is signed, and Vecto Reader does not treat that as a fault. Without a signature it is simply a very good markdown reader: table of contents, search, tabs, light and dark. HOW A DOCUMENT GETS HERE Tap a .md file in Files, or share it to Vecto Reader from the app you received it in — mail, chat, or anywhere else. Choose it once as your default and .md files open here from then on. WHAT THIS READER DOES NOT DO It does not sign — it reads and it judges. It asks for no account and keeps no profile. Opening a document and checking its signature happen entirely on your device: no upload, no network request, no telemetry. Sharing is the one thing that leaves your device, and only when you ask for it. A document you share is encrypted on your device before it goes, the key travels in the link and is not stored by us, and after thirty days the file is gone for good. HOW IT LOOKS A document looks the same here as it does in Vecto Proof and in the PDF, because it is literally the same rendering component. What you see on screen is what the signer saw. LANGUAGES Dutch, English and French. The interface follows your system or your own choice; what the document says stays in the document's language. REQUIREMENTS Android 7.0 or later.
