O Biotax é um software de identificação taxonômica com base em chaves dicotômicas. Ele foi desenvolvi para ser usado em cursos superiores e livres de Biociências que realizem identificação taxonômica de espécimes. A intenção é que o professor forneça arquivos de chave de identificação para os estudantes importarem nos seus smartphones e utilizarem em atividades de identificação taxonômica. As principais funcionalidades são: - Importar chave de identificação a partir de arquivo elaborado na versão desktop - Exportar chave de identificação para arquivo - Excluir chave de identificação específica - Excluir todas as chaves de identificação - Identificar um exemplar com uma chave de identificação - Realizar exercício de identificação taxonômica - Editar exercício de identificação taxonômica - Excluir um/todos exercício(s) de identificação taxonômica - Exportar resultado de um/todos exercício(s) de identificação taxonômica - Consultar exercício de identificação taxonômica
