Stray Running

Stray is a running tracker that runs offline. No account, no sign-up, no cloud. Every run you record stays in a database on your phone, and there is no server for it to be sent to. RUN OFFLINE Start a run and Stray records it with GPS — distance, pace, time, splits and elevation. Airplane mode is fine. Tunnel, basement car park, foreign SIM, no signal at all: none of it stops the recording, because nothing about a run needs the internet. PICK YOUR RUN Choose what the run is judged on before you start: • DURATION — run for a set time • DISTANCE — run for a set distance • FREE — no target, no verdict Set the number, hit START, and a live trail fills in as you go. Reach the target and Stray tells you — then keeps recording, because a target is a line to cross, not a stop sign. WHILE YOU RUN Big numbers you can read at arm's length: distance, elapsed time, average pace, and your pace right now. Lock the screen and put the phone in your pocket — tracking keeps going. The clock only starts when GPS actually locks on, so waiting for a signal never gets counted as running time. AFTER THE RUN Every run lands on THE TAPE with its route, per-kilometre splits, elevation gain and a verdict against the target you picked. See which kilometre was your fastest, how far your pace drifted, and how your streak is holding up. OFFLINE MAPS Download map regions once, over wi-fi, and your routes draw on real maps forever after — no connection required. This is the only network request Stray ever makes, and only when you tap to start it. Available in English, Italian and French. PERMISSIONS Location is used only while a run is recording, to measure distance and draw your route. It is never transmitted.
