Available turns the calendars already on your phone or tablet into a list of the dates you are free, ready to send to anyone who asks when you can do something. It reads the calendars you choose, works out which days are clear, and writes the list the way a person would write it: "All except 4, 9, 15-17" rather than a wall of dates. Your dates, ready to send • As text for an email or a message, as a PDF, as a picture for a group chat, or as a link. • As a list or as a calendar. The PDF, the picture and the link can show either. • The PDF can carry your own letterhead: type your name and details, or use your own Word document with {INSERT DATES} in it. One date that suits you both • Ask someone else for their free dates. They answer in one tap, from their own calendar, and only the dates come back. • They choose how much of what you asked for to send. Dates stop being shown a week after they are sent, because a calendar moves. • Their answer is sealed to you, and only your phone can open it. Nobody the message passes through can read it, and there is no server to hold it. • Your list becomes the dates you are both free. Their dates are kept on your phone until you clear them, and for a month at most. • They do not need to have bought the app to answer you, and on an iPhone they can answer from the iPhone app. The way you work • Read as many calendars as you keep, from any account on your phone: Google, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook. • Send the dates you are free, spelled out, or as "All except" where that reads shorter, month by month. • Whole days, or half days when only a morning or an afternoon is free. • Tap a day to see what is in it, then tap it again to make it the opposite of what your calendar says. • Tell an entry to leave you free, or to cost you the day, every time it comes round. • Words such as "tentative" can be told to leave the day open. • On a tablet or an unfolded phone, Settings stands beside your dates, so a change and what it does are on the screen together. Wherever you are • Press and hold the icon to send your dates as text, a PDF or a picture without opening the app. • A widget on your home screen keeps your dates in view, and a tile in Quick Settings copies them. Private by design Your calendar never leaves your phone. There is no account and no server. Your settings are kept on your phone. All that goes into your phone's own backup is the day your free fortnight began and the key that opens answers sent to you. Free for a fortnight. After that, one payment or a month at a time, whichever suits. Reading your dates and changing them stays free, and answering someone else's request for dates is always free.
