RoadHawk

ROADHAWK – NAVIGATION BUILT AROUND YOUR VEHICLE RoadHawk is an Australian navigation and journey-planning app for trucks, heavy vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, buses, 4WDs and cars. Unlike standard navigation apps, RoadHawk uses your vehicle’s dimensions and weight to identify restrictions that may affect your journey. BUILD YOUR VEHICLE PROFILE Create and save vehicle profiles using your: • Weight • Width • Height • Length Update your profile whenever your vehicle or load configuration changes. RoadHawk uses the selected profile when planning your route. VEHICLE-BASED ROUTING RoadHawk can identify potential restrictions, including: • Low bridges and height restrictions • Weight restrictions • Width restrictions • Length restrictions • Other vehicle access restrictions Routes are generated with your selected profile in mind, helping you identify and avoid roads that may be unsuitable for your vehicle. HEAVY VEHICLE NETWORK ROUTING Select the approved heavy-vehicle access networks relevant to your vehicle and journey. RoadHawk can use this information when generating your route, helping you remain focused on roads appropriate for your vehicle. Network coverage and access requirements vary between states and territories. Always confirm your route using current permits, notices and information from the relevant road authority. PERMIT-AWARE ROUTING Operating under an approved heavy-vehicle permit? Add your permit details and use them alongside your selected access networks and vehicle profile. RoadHawk can consider your: • Permit details • Selected heavy-vehicle networks • Vehicle weight, width, height and length This supports more informed journey planning based on the operating conditions you have entered. You remain responsible for checking permit conditions, approved networks, notices, signage, road closures and current road conditions. RoadHawk is a navigation and planning aid. It does not guarantee legal access or replace the driver’s responsibility to comply with applicable laws and operating conditions. SEE APPROACHING ROADHAWK VEHICLES When enabled, RoadHawk can alert you when another participating RoadHawk vehicle is approaching and display information about its approximate size. This can provide additional awareness on narrow roads, remote routes and other locations where larger vehicles may need extra room to pass safely. REST-BREAK REMINDERS Set reminders for your planned driving and rest periods. RoadHawk can remind you when a scheduled break is approaching. These reminders are an assistance feature only and do not replace an approved work diary, electronic work diary, fatigue-management system or the driver’s responsibility to comply with applicable work and rest requirements. FIND SUITABLE REST AREAS View rest areas along your route and plan stops before you travel. Available information may include: • Facilities • Vehicle suitability • Parking information • User-submitted updates Tap a rest area to view available details and assess whether it may be suitable for your vehicle. COMMUNITY ROAD REPORTING Share useful road information with other RoadHawk users, including: • Rest areas • Road damage • Fuel stations • Road conditions • Hazards • Other useful locations Community reporting helps create a more informed navigation experience across Australia. User-submitted information may not always be verified or current. Continue to follow official warnings, signage, traffic controls and information from relevant road authorities. BUILT FOR AUSTRALIAN ROADS RoadHawk is designed around Australia’s roads, heavy-vehicle networks and driving conditions. Whether you are moving freight, towing a caravan, travelling through regional Australia or driving a larger vehicle, RoadHawk helps you plan around the vehicle you are actually driving.
