RideAlong connects people already travelling the same way so you can share the journey and split the cost. Whether you're heading between Cairns, Port Douglas, Palm Cove or the Tablelands, or making a regular trip, post your seats or find a ride that matches. FIND A RIDE • Browse upcoming trips with pickup points, times and the price per seat, on a list or a map. • Filter by route, day, time, pets, surfboards, child seats or rides near you. • See each driver's profile, ratings and verification badges before you book. • Pay securely by card or Google Pay, or pay the driver directly. • Can't see your trip? Post that you need a ride — drivers on that route can see it, and we'll tell you when a matching ride is posted. OFFER A RIDE • List the seats you have spare and set a fair contribution toward your costs. • Choose whether to allow luggage, pets, surfboards or children, with optional extras. • Drive the same route often? Set a commuter schedule once and RideAlong keeps it posted. • Accept the riders you want — or accept automatically — and withdraw earnings to your bank. SECURE AND FAIR • Card and Google Pay payments are handled by Stripe. RideAlong never stores your card details. • In-app payments are held until both travellers confirm the trip is complete. • Prices are shown in full, in Australian dollars, before you confirm. BUILT AROUND SAFETY • Identity and vehicle verification. • In-app messaging so you can arrange pickup without sharing your number. • Safety & SOS: call 000, optional trip tracking, and a live location link you can send to someone you trust. • Reporting and blocking reviewed by the RideAlong team. • An optional women-only travel preference for verified members. RideAlong is a cost-sharing platform for genuine shared journeys. It is not a taxi or hire-car service, and drivers are not employees. Please travel responsibly and follow local road rules.
