Full description
Sumtl puts your leave and your team in your pocket. It is the mobile companion to Sumtl, the Australian payroll platform at sumtl.com. Payroll itself still runs on the web — this app is for the everyday tasks nobody wants to open a laptop for. Sumtl is a product owned by a private company, not a government app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Australian government agency. The government information it uses is listed with its official source at the end of this description. FOR EMPLOYEES • See where you stand. Annual, sick and long service leave balances, in hours and in days, updated every time you open the app. • Request leave in a few taps. Pick the type and the dates and the hours are worked out for you — weekends and the public holidays for your state are left out automatically. Taking half a day? Enter the hours yourself. Cashing out annual or long service leave instead of taking it? There is a switch for that. • Know where every request stands. Approved, pending or rejected — and if it was rejected, the reason your employer gave, in their words, against the request itself. • Keep your own details right. Update your personal email, phone number and address yourself, without going through the office. FOR EMPLOYERS • Clear the queue from anywhere. Every pending request in one list, with who asked, what kind of leave, which days, how many hours and any note they left. Approve it, or reject it with a reason — your employee is notified either way. • Remember what you said. Recent decisions stay on screen with the reason you gave. • Your team at a glance. Every employee, filtered by company if you run more than one, showing job title, employment type and whether they are active, invited or no longer with you. • Open anyone up. Start date, weekly hours, employment type and leave balances — and edit their contact details there. • Bring someone on board. Send an email invitation with job title, employment type, weekly hours, pay period, hourly rate and start date; they complete the rest. BUILT FOR REAL WORKPLACES • Works offline. Your leave, your team and your notifications are kept on the device, so the app opens and reads with no signal. Pull down to refresh when you are back. • Push notifications. A request lands, a decision is made, and the right person is told — and everything is kept in an in-app list too, so nothing is lost to a swiped notification. • Australian by default. Dates the way we write them, and the public holidays for your own state built into every leave calculation. A Sumtl account is required. Employees are invited by their employer — ask them for an invitation if you have not had one. Payroll runs, payslips and Single Touch Payroll reporting are handled in the Sumtl web app. Find out more at sumtl.com.
