Weavo - Collaborative Mosaic

Weavo is a collaborative art platform. Anyone can upload a piece of art, and it becomes one piece of something larger. Every artwork counts equally toward the whole, regardless of who made it or how. How it comes together • Upload any medium from your profile. There's no campaign to pick. • Your artwork's dominant color is read automatically. No tagging required. • Each piece is placed into whichever open cell, across every active campaign, its color fits best. Nobody places pieces by hand. • The picture builds itself one piece at a time and comes into focus as more artists add their work. It's a mosaic in reverse. A mosaicist starts with a picture in mind and cuts pieces to fit it. Weavo starts with nothing but color logic — the artwork comes first, from people who've never seen each other's work, and the image only emerges in hindsight. Step back and it reads like any mosaic. Step closer and each tile turns out to be someone's complete artwork. Weavo is an initiative by ABST, a Jeju Island-based organization that brings together high school art students and local autistic and disabled youth artists to build exhibitions rooted in real collaboration.
