Full description
Set one display size (DPI, also called screen zoom) for the cover screen and a different one for the inner screen. The app switches between them on its own when you fold or unfold the phone. Made for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. It may work on other devices, but only the Z Fold 8 is supported. NEW: Flex mode for the Z Fold 8. Half-fold it like a laptop and the bottom screen becomes a panel with media controls, a touchpad and a keyboard helper. USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API This app uses the Android AccessibilityService API for its Flex mode touchpad and keyboard helper. The Accessibility service ("ZFOLD8 Flex touchpad & keyboard") is needed so the touchpad can move a pointer and perform taps, scrolls and swipes in other apps, so the keyboard helper can send key presses to the app you are typing in, and so window buttons can perform Back, Home and Recents. These features cannot work without it. The service is optional and off by default; you turn it on yourself in Settings > Accessibility after the app explains why. It does not read, collect, store or share your screen content, typed text or any personal data, and nothing leaves your device. The DPI switching features do not use it. You can turn it off at any time. If the inner screen looks oversized and the cover screen looks cramped (or the other way around), this fixes it without making you pick one compromise for both. WHAT IT DOES - Separate DPI (display size) for the cover screen and the inner screen - Separate values for portrait and landscape on each screen - Automatic switching when you fold or unfold - Refresh rate per screen: 60 Hz or 120 Hz - Brightness per screen, or leave adaptive brightness on - Quick presets: Optimum (a tuned starting point) or Factory (your stock size) - Save up to 20 named presets and share them as text - Optional short delay after folding, so the size change doesn't fight the fold animation - Switching starts again by itself after a restart, with a reminder to tap Apply once SETUP: SHIZUKU OR ROOT Changing display size needs system-level access, so there is a one-time setup. Without root: install the free Shizuku app and start it with Wireless debugging. The app walks you through each step (Developer options, Wireless debugging, pairing over Wi-Fi, then granting access). Without root, Shizuku has to be started again after each phone restart. That is how Shizuku works. With root: turn on Rooted mode and the app uses root instead of Shizuku. Magisk, KernelSU and APatch are supported. ADB root alone is not enough. Plan on about 5 to 10 minutes the first time. After that, you just fold and unfold. GOOD TO KNOW - Lower DPI number = smaller text and icons, more on screen. Higher = bigger. - Some apps reload when the display size changes. That is normal Android behavior. - Allow unrestricted battery use so switching keeps running in the background. COMPATIBILITY Built and tested on the Galaxy Z Fold8. It should also work on other Galaxy Z Fold models, but results can vary by model and software version. FREE, WITH AN OPTION TO REMOVE ADS The app is free and shows a small banner at the bottom. A full-screen ad may appear when you tap Apply and it actually changes something. It never shows just for opening the app. A one-time Remove Ads purchase ($4.99 in the US, local prices vary) turns all ads off for good. PRIVACY Your sizes, presets and settings stay on your phone. No account needed. Ads in the free version are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID. Buying Remove Ads turns ads off.
