READ IT THE WAY YOU READ A dark theme for reading at night and a light one for daylight, and four text sizes — change size mid-chapter and you keep your place, because your place is a point in the text and not a page number. The sizes are reachable without leaving the page: tap the middle of any page and they are there. Ambient sound you can switch on, which stops the moment you put the phone down. A widget for your home screen showing the book you are in the middle of, and how far in. Tap it and you are back on the page you left. An evening reminder, if you want one, naming the book you are partway through. It stays off until you turn it on, and it says nothing when you are not mid-book. THE COMMUNITY Somewhere to tell a scary story of your own, under any name you feel like using. No account, no profile, nothing to sign up for. No likes, no scores, no replies — just the story. Every story is read and approved by Poe Nocturne before it appears. You can report or block anything you do not want to see. WHY IT IS THIS WAY Because the point is that they get read. If you want to hold a paper copy afterwards there is a link to them, and audiobook versions are on the YouTube channel. Neither is asked for, and nothing in the app is locked, limited or sold.
