ThreadCast

ThreadCast turns Reddit threads into a podcast, narrated by natural AI voices that run entirely on your phone. No cloud, no account, nothing ever leaves your device. Play and replay long Reddit threads on your commute, at the gym, or as you fall asleep. Browse your favourite subreddits, queue posts you want to hear, and let ThreadCast read them aloud with multi-voice narration. Different voices for different authors. Comments included if you want them. A sleep mode for when you're winding down. Save any thread as an MP3 and share it. Send it to a friend, drop it in any podcast app, or keep it in your library. Built for commuters, runners, cooks, late-night readers, and anyone who'd rather listen than scroll. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your listening never leaves your phone. Reddit content is fetched directly from Reddit's public API to your device, and the AI voices run 100% on-device, so no audio is ever streamed to or stored on any server. No login, no tracking, no advertising. FREE: START LISTENING IN SECONDS No account, no sign-up. Browse Reddit's public content and start listening right away with your phone's built-in System voices. Queue, comment reading, post search, sleep mode, and lock-screen playback are all free. PREMIUM: LOCAL AI NEURAL VOICES, ON YOUR DEVICE Upgrade to studio-quality neural voices that run 100% on your phone, with no cloud streaming and no audio ever leaving your device. Local AI Lite: 5 on-device neural voices (about 63 MB each), with real-time synthesis on any modern Android. Pick the voice you like and you're set. Local AI Plus: 5 natural English accents (US, UK, Indian, Australian, and Default) in a single model of about 89 MB. Local AI Studio: 11 studio-quality voices in a single bundle of about 145 MB, with multi-voice rotation across a thread and instant voice switching. The quality of premium cloud TTS, running locally. MP3 export and sharing: turn any thread into a shareable audio file, then send it to a friend, drop it in any podcast app, or keep it in your library. Once installed, every Premium voice works offline. Available as a one-time Lifetime purchase, or monthly and yearly. WHAT ELSE IS INSIDE Multi-voice narration. Every Reddit author gets a consistent voice, assigned automatically, so the same user sounds the same across a thread. Comment reading. Pick which comments get read out, or skip the post body and listen to comments only. Export library. Replay or re-share any thread you've exported, anytime. Sleep mode. 10 ambient soundscapes (rain, fire, soft piano, brown noise, ocean, and more) with a sleep timer and a smooth 60-second fade-out. Black-screen mode for bedtime. Post search. Search any subreddit or all of Reddit, sort by relevance, hot, top, new, or comments, and filter by time window. Recent searches saved per scope. Lock-screen playback. Narration keeps going through screen lock, like a podcast. Bluetooth headset controls supported. Image galleries. Full post images, swipeable galleries, pinch-zoom lightbox, video playback, and optional NSFW blur. Drag-to-reorder queue. Swipe to remove. Reverse, Top N, Select All. Adjustable speed and pitch. Dark mode and light mode, following your system theme. PRIVACY DETAILS The only data we collect are anonymous crash reports (via Sentry) so we can fix bugs you encounter.
