Full description
Tacq is communication without a phone number or email. To get started you don't share your number. You create a profile with an internal Master ID and a password — no phone number, no email collected. Nothing to steal and nothing to sell: we simply don't have your personal data. No random encounters Tacq has no people search and no random encounters: you connect only with people you gave a code or an invitation to yourself, or who replied to your listing. Your phone number is never shared. There is no feed, no followers and no directory of people — nobody can follow you or stumble upon you. Only an organisation has a public page: its own business card with a QR code, which it publishes itself, and it leads to its services, not to a person. Listings and tags are available only from age 18. How it works • Connect and talk via a link or a QR code — the other person never needs your number. • A separate connection for every contact or situation. Different people get different links, and conversations stay apart. • Manage each contact's permissions: allow or forbid messages, audio and video calls, switch on "do not disturb". • Changed your mind? Block the contact. The connection can be restored later if you wish. Features • Messages, photos and files. • Audio and video calls. • Groups with handy tools inside, and communities of interest. • Listings you can publish without a phone number (18+). • Tags with text and a code for contact without a phone number — on belongings, pets, your car (18+). • Six interface languages: English, Russian, Hebrew (with right-to-left support), French, Spanish and German. Who it is for Tacq is an everyday messenger for every kind of contact. • Family and friends: messages, voice messages, calls and family groups. • Work: talk with colleagues and clients on behalf of your organisation. • Study: class or course groups with topics, polls, lists and schedules. • Buying, selling and events: contact without a phone number that you close when you no longer need it. • Anyone who values privacy and does not want to hand out their phone number. Privacy at the core We don't ask for and don't collect your personal data — no real name, no phone number, no email address. For every connection you choose the nickname and picture the other person will see. Messages in private chats, in groups and in QR sticker conversations, as well as photos, files and voice messages, are encrypted on your device and opened only on the other people's devices. The server keeps them only in encrypted form it cannot read. A private message waits on the server in such an envelope only until delivery: once it is received, the envelope is gone from the server. So your conversations are kept by you, not on the server. You can have up to five of your own devices linked by QR code, plus an archive — one encrypted file you keep wherever you like. Besides regular encryption, one-to-one chats offer two extra modes: "Secret" — the key changes with every message, and "Top secret" — the content never passes through the server at all and goes straight from the sender's device to the recipient's.

What's new

What's new: listings and QR tags are not available until 18 — they are how a stranger could reach you, so this is how we protect teenagers. For the first week after meeting someone, a teenager sees a reminder not to send photos, address or phone number to someone they don't know. Your age group is now stored only on your device. Where the law requires it, the app uses the age group from Google Play. New help article: "How Tacq protects teenagers".
