Snap311 is a fast, independent way to report DC 311 service requests — illegal dumping, potholes, missed trash pickups, downed signs, dead trees, abandoned vehicles, and more. Take a photo. The location auto-fills from your photo's GPS. Pick a category. Submit. That's it. WHY SNAP311 The official DC 311 app has had a long-standing submission failure that makes it unable to send certain types of reports. Snap311 was built as an independent alternative client that talks to the same DC 311 backend, with a streamlined photo-first interface and offline draft support. CORE FEATURES • Snap a photo, get the location filled in automatically • Browse the full DC 311 catalog or jump straight to the most common categories (bulk pickup, missed trash, illegal dumping, pothole) • Pinpoint the exact spot on a map if your photo lacks GPS • Offline drafts that auto-retry when you reconnect — your report is never lost mid-submission • Track the status of past reports; get a notification when DC marks one closed • Add a past report by ID to track something you filed via the official app, the web portal, or by phone YOUR DATA Your contact info stays on your device. It's only sent to DC 311 when you file a report. Snap311 doesn't track you across apps, doesn't sell your data, and doesn't show ads. Crash diagnostics use Sentry and are opt-out in Settings. IMPORTANT Snap311 is an unofficial, independent client. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the DC Office of Unified Communications, the DC 311 program, or any DC government agency. Reports submitted through Snap311 land in the same DC 311 system as reports filed through the official app, the 311.dc.gov web portal, or by phone. For emergencies, call 911.
