Shelly puts your computer’s real terminal on your Android phone. Pair once, then continue shell sessions, Codex, Claude Code and any other CLI—without creating an account. The real PTY keeps running on your computer. Type, scroll, resize, detach and reconnect from your phone without losing process state. Shelly is a remote terminal companion, not a screenshare or a separate cloud shell. A Shelly desktop companion is required. macOS and Linux are supported. Push notifications contain generic status text and opaque identifiers—not terminal content, commands, paths or session names. Pairing data on Android is protected by the Android Keystore, and local computer scrollback is encrypted by default. Get started 1. Install the desktop companion: npm i -g shellykit 2.
