SharpMD

SharpMD is a Markdown editor where you edit the formatted page. Tap a paragraph, a heading, a list item or a table cell and type. The Markdown is rewritten behind it. WHAT IT DOES - Notes that save themselves on the device. No account needed. - Formatting as you type: **bold**, # headings, - lists, [] tasks. - Tables: add rows and columns, with totals and simple formulas. - Task lists and kanban boards. - Mermaid and Graphviz diagrams, with an editor that shows the drawing next to the code. - Math with KaTeX, with a formula editor. - An outline of each note and search across all of them. - 26 templates to start from. - Open a Markdown file from the phone, or one sent from another app. - Share a note to other apps as text, as a file or as a link. - Dictate and it writes. Or have the note read aloud. - Turn PDF, Word and Excel files into Markdown, on the device. - An AI assistant inside the note, with your own key. - Twelve themes, light and dark. English and Spanish. - Works without a connection. OPTIONAL ACCOUNT Sign in with a code sent to your email to keep notes in the cloud and open them on another device, or in the browser at sharpmd.app. - Edit a note with other people at the same time, through a link. - A cloud folder can carry a password: its notes are encrypted on the device and the server cannot read them. - Deleted cloud notes stay in the trash for 30 days. - Connect your AI over MCP so it reads and writes the same notes. PRIVACY No ads and no trackers. Notes stay on the device unless you send them to the cloud. The app counts a few anonymous events, like the app being opened, with no identifier. You can turn that off in Settings. Open source.
