NoGo: Safer Together

See at a glance where things are tense right now. Reported by people on the ground, in seconds, without an account. NoGo is not a social network and not a news feed. It is a map, a report button, local alerts and a help section. Nothing more. AREAS INSTEAD OF PINS Instead of single points you see shaded areas. Yellow, orange and red show how strongly current reports cluster in one place. One glance is enough to judge a street or a square before you set off. Reports are grouped into equally sized cells, never shown as a single dot outside someone's front door. Tap an area to see the reports behind it, with category and time. REPORTING TAKES THREE STEPS Confirm the location, pick a category, add optional details. Done. For persistent locations there is one extra step: draw the affected area or just drop a pin. There are deliberately no photos, no free text fields and no descriptions of people. NoGo is meant to help you judge places, not to put people on display. Thirteen categories in two groups. Happening now: robbery, fight, aggressive group, harassment, pickpocketing, uneasy feeling, demonstration. Persistent locations: drug scene, poor lighting, dark underpass, poor visibility, needles and broken glass, neglected place. Instead of a free text field there are optional detail chips. REPORTS FADE ON THEIR OWN Acute reports fade within a few hours and disappear from the map again. If several people confirm the same observation, it stays visible longer. Persistent locations stay visible for around 30 days. That creates a current picture, not a permanent label for a whole neighbourhood. ALERTS ON YOUR TERMS You decide which categories trigger a notification and how large your alert radius is, adjustable from 250 metres to 2 kilometres. Whether you enter a reported zone is checked locally on your device. THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER, WITHOUT SEARCHING The emergency number for the country you are currently in, the nearest police station, the nearest hospital and safe places nearby. This section is always free of charge and always ad free. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT No account, no email address, no password. No free text and no photos, there simply is no field for it. Your location is not logged on the server. Zone alerts are calculated by your device. For push notifications about new reports the server only knows a location coarsened to around 100 metres, with no history. Delete all your data at any time, directly in the app. Reports are deleted after 90 days at the latest, except permanently confirmed locations. Servers in Germany, Frankfurt am Main. FREE TO USE, SUPPORT IS VOLUNTARY All safety features are free and the app is fully functional without a subscription. Without a subscription, a small banner on the map funds the service. There is never advertising in the reporting, help and settings sections. Ad free: EUR 2.99 per month or EUR 19.99 per year. Supporter: EUR 5.99 per month or EUR 49.99 per year, ad free plus voluntary support for further development. Subscriptions run through Google Play and can be cancelled there at any time. IMPORTANT NoGo is an information tool and cannot guarantee safety. It is not an emergency service and does not replace any authority. In case of acute danger call your local emergency number.
