Full description
ReefDex turns your phone into a marine biologist in your pocket. Point your camera at a fish, coral, or invertebrate, underwater or from the boat, and the AI identifies it in seconds. Every result is cross-referenced against three scientific taxonomy databases (WoRMS, GBIF, and iNaturalist), so you get the accepted species name, its family, conservation status, and role in the reef. Then ReefDex logs the sighting with GPS, time, and depth, and adds it to your personal dive history. LOG EVERY DIVE - Import straight from your dive computer (Garmin FIT, UDDF, Subsurface) or add dives by hand - Automatic depth profile, water temperature, and nearest dive site - Photos and video per dive, buddies, ratings, and notes - Build a species collection and earn badges as you go IDENTIFY MARINE LIFE - AI camera scanner for fish, coral, and invertebrates - Backed by WoRMS, GBIF, and iNaturalist taxonomy - Species name, family, conservation status, and ecological role EXPLORE - 6,800+ dive sites and dive centers worldwide on an interactive map - See what other divers are spotting SHARE WITH THE COMMUNITY - A feed of dives from divers around the world - Follow the divers you like and see their dives in your Following tab - Photos, videos, and reels from real dives - Like and comment on sightings FOR SCIENCE Every sighting you log adds a data point (species, location, time, depth) to a growing map of ocean biodiversity, so your dives help researchers and conservationists too. Whether you scuba dive, freedive, snorkel, or are just curious about what lives on the reef, ReefDex helps you know what you saw and remember every dive. Download free and start your logbook today.

What's new

What's new in 1.7.1: open any dive from the feed to see its photos, stats, depth profile and the species seen. Link a dive to its dive site and rate the site after diving it. Add highlights to your dives instead of stars. Edit your profile: name, username and certification. Propose a missing dive site from the map. Marine Life groups cleaned up, and every photo credits its photographer. The Android back button works everywhere.
