Store listing

Full description
Most people never find out that a flashlight app has been granted the microphone, or that a game they installed last year still has access to their contacts. Audit lists every app installed on your phone and tells you, in a normal sentence, what it can reach and what it carries inside. It also looks inside each app's installation file for known tracking libraries — advertising, marketing, analytics, fraud detection, crash reporting — and combines that with the permissions to say something useful, instead of showing a scary number. Everything runs on your phone. Nothing is uploaded. No ads, no account, no tracking. WHAT IT DOES - Shows permissions in plain language ("precise location", not ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) - Distinguishes granted / not granted / automatic at install — most apps get a pile of permissions without ever asking you - Scans for 148 known tracking SDKs, grouped by purpose - Explains each finding in one sentence and sorts apps by severity - Remembers results and reports what changed after an app update - Six languages: Slovak, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - It reports what is present in an app's code, not what is happening right now. A bundled analytics library does not mean data is being sent at this moment. - The signature list is not complete, so it under-reports rather than exaggerates. - It is information to help you decide — not an accusation. HOW IT WORKS An installation file is a ZIP archive, and the class names inside it are readable text. Audit walks through them once and looks up known package prefixes. No decompiler, no network access. The app needs the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission to see the list of installed apps, which is the entire point of it. That list never leaves the device. Open source, GPLv3: github.com/Zelitte/plainkit-audit

What's new

* Fixed: after the tracking-library list grew, the app could report that a library had been removed from an app when nothing had changed * Fixed: some permissions were hidden for Google and system apps * Fixed: scanning a large app could crash instead of reporting that the file could not be read * Fixed: opening an app while scanning all of them recorded the same change twice * More accurate progress indicator and a faster list * Scan results are no longer carried to another phone by backup
