new2nuclear

new2nuclear is an educational and informational portal designed to help transition individuals into the nuclear industry, particularly those new to the field. The site is a creation of NUVIA, a company committed to developing nuclear technology and the people who make it possible. The portal addresses the growing need for skilled workers in the nuclear industry, which is making significant global investments. This industry provides clean, affordable, and reliable electricity, creates high-quality jobs, and drives medical innovations that diagnose diseases, treat illnesses, and sterilize medical equipment. With the expansion and realization of nuclear technology's benefits, there is an increased demand for workers trained and qualified to work safely within radiological environments. new2nuclear plays a crucial role in meeting this demand by providing a platform where individuals can learn the basics of radiological safety. The site offers introductory videos and information that complement existing nuclear utilities and vendor onboarding training programs for newer nuclear workers. These resources are designed to familiarize individuals with the requirements for safe working on a nuclear site, which can be foreign and overwhelming to those new to the field. However, it's important to note that while new2nuclear is a valuable tool for introducing new workers to the industry, it intends to refrain from replacing any official training provided by nuclear operators or vendors. Instead, it supplements this training, providing a quick refresher on radiological principles and safe work practices in the nuclear industry for those needing it. new2nuclear is a supportive resource for those entering the nuclear industry, helping them understand the fundamental aspects of radiological safety and prepare for their roles in this critical and growing field.
