Full description
NasPilot brings the scattered Synology apps together in one place and adds "Ask NAS": find files and photos, size up folders or draft a clean-up plan by simply describing what you want. Built for DSM 6.2 home users. Note: the app interface is currently in Simplified Chinese. Ask NAS — talk to your storage • "Where are the videos I shot last October?", "Which files in this folder are duplicates?", "Sort the footage by month" • Results land right in the Files and Photos pages • Clean-up plans are previewed first and run only after you confirm; every step can be undone. The assistant can only move and rename — it never deletes • Nothing leaves your LAN by default: only text is sent to the model. Whether images, documents or videos may leave is your per-folder choice, and every transfer is logged Overview — at a glance • Online status, uptime, CPU / memory / temperature / fan • Storage pool usage and shared-folder breakdown • Running downloads and the last backup result Files — feels local • Browse, search, filter by type • Long-press to multi-select; download, move, copy, recycle • Upload from camera, gallery or the file picker; create folders Media — direct playback • Play originals directly, or 1080p / 720p via Video Station • Resume where you left off, auto-play the next file, cast on your LAN • Moments photo timeline with full-screen viewer Downloads — let the NAS do it • Paste HTTP / magnet links or import torrents • Live speed and progress, pause / resume Manage — the essentials • Disk health and S.M.A.R.T., system log, package update reminders • Reboot / shutdown with confirmation Home-screen widgets • Two sizes, pick the fields you want • Storage, tasks and online status at a glance; tap to jump in Security & privacy • HTTPS by default; self-signed certificates pinned per device • No password stored, session only; fingerprint / face unlock • No ads, no analytics SDK; the app never sends data to the developer Requirements • A Synology NAS running DSM 6.2; some features need Video Station, Moments or Download Station • "Ask NAS" is optional: it needs the NasPilot sidecar deployed on your NAS via Docker with your own model provider. Everything else works without it NasPilot is an independent third-party client and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Synology Inc. Synology and DSM are trademarks of Synology Inc.
