Myranda

Myranda shows you your digital life as it really is. Open the apps and sites you already use in Myranda's built-in browser, or import the data export those platforms give you, and Myranda builds your Digital Self on your phone: what you actually watch, who actually gets your attention, and how that changes from week to week. Every week ends with a Rewind about your week online. You can set your own rules for each app: a daily limit, a quiet night, or hiding the parts of a feed you do not want to see. This app uses Accessibility services. App redirects, an optional feature, uses Android's AccessibilityService API: when you open an app you picked in Myranda (for example Instagram, TikTok or YouTube), Myranda's accessibility service notices that this app came to the front and opens it inside Myranda instead, so your own rules apply there too. The service only learns which of your picked apps just opened. It cannot see your screen or read what you type, and it does not press anything or change your settings. Before anything is switched on, Myranda explains this in the app and asks you to agree; you then switch it on yourself in Android's Accessibility settings, and you can switch it off there at any time. The only thing that leaves your phone is an anonymous count of redirects per app for App Health, which you can turn off in Settings. Your feed history is worked out and stored on your phone, encrypted. Nothing about what you watched, searched or wrote reaches Myranda.
