Full description
Orbit keeps your things to do, and lets them come to you. Give a task a deadline or a place and it starts moving: it warms up, its border thickens, it climbs the list as the day or the place gets closer. The sky behind the list changes with it. Nothing needs sorting by hand — what presses most is already at the top. What it does • A list, straight away. It opens and the field to add is already under your thumb: no account, no sign-up, no welcome screens. • Deadlines you can feel. A date is not a label: it is a value that moves, and the last day weighs more than the first six put together. • Places. A task can belong to a place: while the app is open it weighs more the closer you are, and it climbs. • Deleting asks first, and every list has its own trash: what you delete stays there for thirty days, and one tap puts it back. • More than one list, each with a deadline and a place of its own that everything inside inherits: "Shopping" knows where the supermarket is once instead of twenty times. • A list can be shared with another person: it gets a folder of its own, and you hand that folder over with the sync service you already use. No invitation, no code, no server in between. • Two home-screen widgets: a small one with what is pending, a wide one with the four things that press most. • Quick add from the notification shade: type, and it is on the list, without opening the app. • English and Italian, following the phone. Your data stays yours What you write is stored as files on your phone, one per task. There is no Orbit server and no account: nothing you write is sent to us. If you keep that folder inside a synchronisation service you already use, it is that service that copies it between your devices — and the format is built so that two phones that were offline cannot break each other's data. The same is true of a shared list, with one difference worth saying before you download: its files leave the phone in plain text, carried by the service you chose, and whoever receives the folder sees everything in it. What it does not do • No account, no sign-up. • No automatic upload anywhere. • No ads inside the list: only a banner at the bottom, which is how the app pays for itself. Permissions • Internet: for the ads only. • Notifications: only for the quick add field in the shade. Asked the first time you add something, and the app works the same if you say no. • Location: only when you attach a place to a task, to know how far away you are. Read while the app is open, it stays on the phone, and places still work without it. Privacy policy: https://mindcontact.app/mcma-orbit/privacy/

What's new

Confirmation before deleting, and a trash for every list. • A swipe asks before it deletes: a row moves even when you scroll the list at an angle. • At the foot of every list is its own trash: what you delete stays there for thirty days, and one tap puts it back where it was.
