FIND SOMEONE ACTUALLY RIGHT FOR YOU Most online dating apps just show you whoever's nearby. Matcha lets you filter the Discover feed by age range, ethnicity, and gender, so you're only seeing people who fit what you're looking for. Whether you're in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, or anywhere else in Aotearoa, Matcha surfaces local singles worth meeting. WHO IT'S FOR Matcha is for Kiwis tired of dating apps that feel like a game. If you're dating with intent — looking for a long-term relationship, a serious partner, or someone worth settling down with — you'll feel at home here. Matcha is 18+ only. SUPER MATCHES Found someone you're genuinely interested in? Send a Super Match to instantly match with them — no waiting for them to swipe right first. It's the quickest way to start a real conversation and show you're serious. Available as one-off purchases or included with Premium and Ceremonial subscriptions. REAL-TIME CHAT Once you both match, chat right inside the app. Send messages, voice notes and photos, see when someone's typing, and get notified the moment they reply. No giving out your phone number, no switching to another app. Conversations only open when both people match. WOMEN MESSAGE FIRST On matches between men and women, she sends the first message. It's a small touch that makes every conversation feel more intentional — she opens the door when she's ready, and he knows that when she does, there's genuine interest on the other side. He's notified and can reply right away. VERIFIED PROFILES & SAFETY Every profile is checked before it goes live. Photos are scanned by Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch, and our human moderators review every report. You decide what to share, and you can block or report anyone, anytime.
