It is not an app blocker that lets you keep scrolling in one app while blocking another — when you go away, the whole phone goes with you. Locked mode uses Android's Device Admin permission for one thing only: returning the screen to your lock screen. It cannot read your data, wipe your phone, or see your PIN. Your own screen lock is what keeps the phone shut, so set a PIN or pattern first. No accessibility service, no VPN, nothing running that you can't see. SETTING IT UP TAKES A MINUTE Lockaway asks for four things, each once: Device Admin (so Locked can lock), Do Not Disturb access (so favourites get through), notifications (so the countdown shows on your lock screen) and an exemption from battery optimisation (so a session can't be killed halfway through the night).
