Full description
Learn Korean crazy fast. 19,000+ words taught with the two things that actually make vocabulary stick: intelligent review scheduling and mnemonic devices. Two weeks here beats two years on Duolingo — and yeah, you're gonna feel the burn. LEARN, THEN REVIEW Learn up to 25 new words a day, five at a time. Words come with example sentences from real Korean dramas and movies, native-speaker audio, and hand-written mnemonics. Answer in both Korean and English to move on. Then review. The scheduler runs FSRS — the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler, a machine-learning memory model fitted on real learner reviews. It predicts when you're about to forget each word and books the review just before: hours for something new, months once it's locked in. Less time reviewing, more time learning. Complete your reviews to unlock the next round of words. That's the whole loop. BURN IT Every word climbs nine stages, from Novice to BURNED. Get it right, it moves up. Get it wrong, it slides back. Hit stage 9 and the word is yours forever — off your review queue for good, still there when you search for it. No two words follow the same path. Easy words take three reviews and burn. Stubborn ones take a dozen. The schedule is per-word, not a fixed timetable. WEIRD STORIES MAKE IT STICK Your brain remembers images far faster than rote repetition, so thousands of words ship with a hook written for English speakers — sound, shape, and meaning in one picture. Sino-Korean words share hanja-based mnemonics, so learning one root pays off across every word that uses it. Words borrowed from English get flagged as loanwords instead of forced into a story they don't need. And if ours doesn't click, write your own — the app remembers it. WHAT'S IN THE BOX • 19,000+ vocabulary words with meanings, parts of speech, and etymology • FSRS spaced repetition with push reminders when reviews are due • Thousands of hand-written mnemonics, plus your own • Native-speaker audio recordings, including during reviews • 38,000+ example sentences from real Korean dramas and movies • Adaptive placement test — not a beginner? It finds your level • Hangul Quick-Start: read the Korean alphabet in about 20 minutes • Typing practice games for the Korean keyboard • Grammar reference: particles, conjugations, patterns • Hanja insights and search across vocabulary, hanja, grammar, and affixes • Progress dashboard with review forecast, XP, levels, and streaks • Discord community with a help channel SMART ABOUT MISTAKES Fat-finger a letter and it still counts. If your answer is within one edit of correct — a swapped, dropped, or extra character — we don't punish the typo. START FREE 250 words and 1,000 reviews free, no credit card required. Start at the beginning or place into your level. When you're ready for all 19,000+ words, it's $4/month. Cancel anytime. Your progress syncs with koreanvocabulary.app, so the phone and the web are the same account and the same review queue.
