Handbook of Prayers

The Handbook of Prayers of Fr. Charles Belmonte. For forty years Fr. Charles Belmonte's Handbook of Prayers has been carried to Mass in the Philippines and far beyond it — the Order of Mass in both tongues, the prayers of the Church, and the devotions of ordinary Catholic life gathered into one book. This is that book, whole and unabridged, made into an illuminated reading edition for the phone in your pocket. Edited by Fr. Charles Belmonte with Fr. James Socias. Published by Sinag-Tala Publishers, Makati. The printed edition carries the nihil obstat of Msgr. Josefino S. Ramirez and the imprimatur of Jaime Cardinal Sin, Archbishop of Manila. The text is reproduced faithfully from the free EPUB that Fr. Belmonte himself set out, and is set in the manner of the old books: vellum and ink, red for the rubrics, initials after the Insular hand. • The Order of Mass in English and Latin, side by side, aligned by the numbering of the Roman Missal • The Holy Rosary, guided bead by bead, with the mysteries' meditations • Night prayers, step by step: the examination of conscience and prayers to Our Lady • Prayers for today: the liturgical season, the day's celebration and its rank, the day's mysteries • Basic prayers, preparation and thanksgiving for Mass and Communion, devotions to Our Lord, Our Lady, St. Joseph and the Holy Spirit, a guide for a good confession, blessings, and prayers at the time of death • Mark your prayers with ribbons and pray through them in order • Seven text sizes, day and night themes, keep-screen-awake • The whole book stored on your device — works with no connection at all, inside a church or on a plane No account, no ads, no tracking, nothing to buy. "Lord, teach us to pray." — from Fr. Belmonte's introduction
