Folkside Home is the parent app for Folkside. It gives a parent clear control over what is shared and makes family check-ins simple. The parent stays in control Review every signal before collection starts. See who is in the family circle, who is on duty, which nearby contacts are approved, and exactly what family members can see. Pause sharing, use travel mode, or withdraw at any time. Simple check-ins Tap I'm okay to let family know you have checked in. Tap I need help to ask the on-duty family member to respond. Folkside clearly shows whether the request was sent and always provides direct call options. Coarse, private signals With permission, Folkside Home can use steps over time, broad motion, charging changes, home or away, and app heartbeat. Exact home coordinates stay on this phone. The server receives only home, away, or unknown transitions—never a location history. By default your family can see your step counts, broad motion, home or away times, battery, and app status; you can turn activity details off at any time. Honest coverage If permissions change, the phone is offline, or background updates are restricted, Folkside reports a neutral coverage issue. A technical problem is never turned into a wellbeing warning. Folkside Home works with a family invitation from the Folkside app. Folkside is a family-coordination service. It is not a medical device, monitoring center, or emergency service. Folkside does not detect falls and does not call 911. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.
