Tightness Test IGEM UP/1B

Tightness Test follows the IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4 flow diagram step by step, so a Gas Safe registered engineer can test, record and share the result from the van. WHAT IT DOES - Five steps: setup and let-by, tightness test, purge and leak detection fluid, client and installation, result. - Let-by test at 7 to 10 mbar, stabilisation and the 2 minute test, each with its own timer. - The verdict the moment you enter the drop: pass, isolate and re-test, or fail against the Edition 4 table, with the next job spelled out. - Works out the installation volume from your pipework, fittings and meter; permitted drop by volume band, with the perceptible-movement rule for your gauge (fluid, electronic 1 d.p. or 2 d.p., per ISU 133). - Isolate and re-test the pipework, purge by volume and the repeat test after the purge; leak detection fluid check on every disturbed joint. - Test 1, 2, 3: add more results for the record, appliances connected, disconnected or pipework only. - Gas rate calculator: reads the meter from a photo, times the minute, gives m³/h and the heat input gross and net. READ THE GAUGE - Water U-gauge: take a photo and the app reads the scale and finds the level. Check it, zoom in and correct it if needed. Photos are kept on the record. - Electronic gauge: paste or import the result from your gauge's app and the readings fill in. THE RECORD - Client and installation details, your logo and signature, the client's signature on the phone. - A reference number in your usual style, for example 10HighSt1TT. - A PDF with the results on page 1 and the gauge photos on page 2, to view, share or edit later. - Saves on the phone and uploads when you have signal. For Gas Safe registered engineers and apprentices working under one at a registered business. Every new account is checked against the Gas Safe Register before it opens. You remain responsible for testing to IGEM/UP/1B and for the decision to pass or fail.
