Hassle-Free, Zero Config, Secure and Private Networks Controlled only by YOU Faction eliminates all cloud-based, centralized vulnerabilities and puts you in control of your security and privacy for networking and data. Create a private Faction network in minutes, enrol the devices you trust, and they can reach each other securely from anywhere: phones, tablets, laptops and Faction Pods at home or in the office. Share files, manage groups and connect to your own equipment without exposing anything to the public internet. HOW FACTION USES A VPN CONNECTION Faction uses Android's VpnService to build an encrypted WireGuard tunnel between your own devices and your Faction Pods. This tunnel is the core of the app: it is how your devices find and talk to each other privately. Only traffic destined for your Faction network travels through it; your ordinary internet traffic is not redirected, inspected or monetised, and Faction does not collect the contents of your traffic. The tunnel runs as a foreground service with a visible notification while connected, and you can disconnect at any time from the app. WHAT YOU GET - Zero-configuration private networking between your own devices - Encrypted end-to-end peer-to-peer connections - Encrypted file transfer between your devices - Groups and roles so you decide who can reach what - Faction Pods to bring your home or office equipment onto the network Faction Networks is currently in open beta. What's new

Build 308 — file transfer reliability: • A send now shows "sent" only after the recipient confirms the file was saved; a failed send shows an error with Retry instead of hanging. • Fixed transfers failing after rejoining a faction or switching factions. • Fixed a stalled recipient blocking later sends. • Leaving or being removed from a faction now deletes its received files from this device. • Security: files are only accepted for transfers you approved.
