Full description
Doofer is the remote for Android TV and Google TV, on the phone already in your hand. It works with most Sony, Philips, TCL and Hisense sets, the Google TV Streamer, Chromecast with Google TV and the cheap Android boxes. It can turn the TV on. Most remote apps quietly cannot, because a TV that is properly asleep stops listening to Wi-Fi. Doofer remembers the TV's hardware address and wakes it the way the real remote does, and it tells you plainly when a set is not going to wake. What you get • Pair once. Type the code the TV shows, and from then on it just connects. • Every key: power, volume, mute, navigation, back, home, play and pause, plus the TV's own input and settings keys. • A keyboard that types straight into search boxes and password fields on the TV. No more pecking at an on-screen grid. • App buttons with the real icons of the apps on your TV. Doofer learns which ones you actually use. • A home-screen widget and a quick-settings tile, so power and volume are one swipe away. • A sleep timer, quiet hours, and a kid mode behind a PIN. Nothing in the middle Doofer talks to your TV over your own Wi-Fi. No adverts, no account required, and nothing you type or watch passes through us. The anonymous usage numbers can be switched off in Settings. Doofer Pro Everything above is free. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It adds more app buttons and scenes: one tap for movie night that wakes the TV, opens the app you want and sets the volume. Every install gets a seven-day Pro preview after the first pairing, with nothing to enter. Doofer does not work with Samsung Tizen, LG webOS or Fire TV sets, and it will not list a TV it cannot reach. Help and answers: doofer.app/support

What's new

• Skip, rewind and fast forward, and a volume bar that shows your TV's level. • Your phone's volume buttons now control the TV while its remote is open. • Speak instead of typing on the keyboard page. • Add a TV by its IP address, and rename any TV. • Roku: inputs, channel icons and Find my remote. • TV toolbox: see installed apps, take a screenshot, stop a frozen app. • Mute and play/pause tiles, a widget per TV, a notification remote. • Signed in, scenes and settings follow you to a new phone.
