Full description
CourtClock is a substitution timer for junior basketball. It is built for the parent who gets handed the clipboard five minutes before tip-off. Set your roster once. Drag to order it — the top five start, and everyone keeps their number. Then start the clock and tap two players to sub. WHAT IT TELLS YOU • Next Sub In — a countdown to your next rotation. It does not silently wrap around at zero: when a shift runs over, it flips to Sub Overdue and keeps flashing until you actually make the sub. • Who is due to come off — players turn amber, then red, the longer they have been on. • Who is next in — the bench is ordered by who has rested longest, so the fairest choice is always first. • Playing time for every player, on court and on the bench, so nobody quietly plays half the minutes of everyone else. DURING THE GAME • Halves or quarters, with your own period length. • Max Shift you can set — three minutes by default. • The sub cycle pauses at the end of a period and picks up where it left off. It does not reset. • Undo, for when the wrong two players get tapped. • A game summary you can copy and paste into the team chat. • Start a new game from the first period when the game is over. MORE THAN ONE TEAM Save as many rosters as you like and switch between them. Rename, duplicate or delete any of them. OFFLINE AND ON YOUR PHONE CourtClock works with no signal — useful, because school gyms rarely have any. Your rosters and game data are stored on your device, not in an account. There is no sign-up and nothing to log in to. The app sends a small anonymous ping so we can count how many people use it. It contains a random app-install ID and which screens were opened. It is not linked to your identity, and it never includes player names.

What's new

Fixes the six-players-on-court bug. • Editing the roster during a game no longer changes who is on court — the court only changes by subbing. • Players on court can't be removed mid-game; sub them out first. • "Back to game" keeps your undo history. • After the game ends, the setup screen offers "Start next game" — minutes reset, new starting five. • Court numbers are fixed at game start; reordering mid-game sets next game's starters.
