Cara — Private Period Tracker

CARA: PRIVATE PERIOD TRACKING FOR YOUR PHONE Cara is a period and menstrual cycle tracker built on a single principle: your health data never leaves your device. Everything stays encrypted on your Android phone. No servers. No cloud. No accounts. No ads. WHY CARA? Most period-tracking apps are data-harvesting platforms. They log your cycle, moods, symptoms, and fertility patterns—then sell aggregated insights to pharmaceutical companies. Cara refuses this model. We store your data locally, encrypt it, and never transmit anything. Your cycle is yours alone. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • 100% local storage. Zero cloud backup. • AES-256 encryption at rest (SQLCipher). • No accounts, sign-ups, or logins required. • No analytics or tracking code. • No ads. No sponsored content. No premium paywall. • Optional biometric lock (Android fingerprint or face unlock). • One-tap data deletion. Uninstall = complete data wipe. WHAT YOU CAN TRACK • Menstrual flow and intensity. • Symptoms: cramping, mood, energy, headaches, spotting, bloating, breast tenderness, etc. • Ovulation predictions (calendar-based; not a medical device). • Fertile window estimates. • Cycle length and pattern changes over months. • Custom notes and personal insights. DESIGNED FOR CALM Cara's interface is intentionally ambient. An animated ocean-wave background flows through six daily phases—night, dawn, morning, midday, sunset, dusk. Your cycle data is color-coded with gentle hues: coral (menstrual phase), teal (follicular phase), lavender (luteal phase). No notifications. No badges. No streak gamification. Just clear, honest cycle tracking.
