Capturly

Capturly is a local-first podcast and interview recorder. Every participant's master copy is written to their own machine at full quality — so your audio never turns to mush because someone's WiFi dipped mid-sentence. WHY LOCAL-FIRST Cloud recorders stream your audio and video over the internet, which means your final quality is only as good as your worst connection moment. Capturly flips that around. The master recording is captured and stored on your device. The cloud is a backup, never a single point of failure. STUDIO-QUALITY CAPTURE - Up to 96 kHz / 24-bit uncompressed WAV audio on the desktop app (Creator, Team, and Lifetime). Free and browser sessions run at 48 kHz. - Up to 4K H.264 video on Creator, Team, and Lifetime. 1080p on Free. - Separate per-participant tracks — one audio file per microphone, one video file per camera — ready to drop straight into your editor. REMOTE GUESTS, RECORDED LOCALLY Record with remote guests — up to 4 people per session on Creator (you plus 3 guests) and up to 8 on Team (you plus 7). You see live video previews of each other while everyone records locally at full quality. Guests join from a link — no account gymnastics. COLLECT RECORDINGS FROM ANYONE Send a capture request and someone records their answer on their own phone or laptop at full quality — no app, no account needed on their side. Their take lands in your library along with the release they accepted, and you can review submissions right in the desktop app. (Team) PROOF OF WHAT YOU GOT Recordings carry a capture manifest: sample rate, resolution, frame rate, checksum, and capture time — so you can show exactly what was captured, and collected takes arrive with the consent record attached. NEVER LOSE A RECORDING Creator, Team, and Lifetime stream an encrypted copy to your private cloud library while you record. If your machine crashes, restarts, or runs out of disk mid-session, the recording is still safe and reachable from any device. Unfinished uploads surface in your library so nothing quietly disappears. SYNC MARKERS An automatic sync beep at the start of every take makes aligning multi-track recordings in your editor straightforward. BUILT FOR YOUR EDITOR Capturly does one thing: it gets you the best possible source files. Export to MP4 (H.264) and WAV (PCM) as separate tracks and finish in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Descript, or any DAW. WORKS OFFLINE Solo recording works completely offline on the desktop app — ideal for on-location shoots or venues with unreliable WiFi. Remote guest sessions and live cloud backup need a connection, but if yours drops mid-session your local master keeps recording at full quality and the backup resumes when you're back online.
