Full description
AtomLantern is a periodic table that turns into a study partner. Look an element up, flip it as a flashcard, then let the quiz find out what actually stuck. THE TABLE, CLOSE UP All 118 elements sit on one board you can pinch and zoom, coloured by family. Tap a tile and its card opens: atomic mass, electron configuration, group, period and block, melting and boiling point, density, the year it was found and one fact worth keeping. Switch the board to a plain list, filter by family, search by name, symbol or atomic number, and star the elements you keep mixing up. QUIZ MODES • Symbol → Name: you see "Fe", you pick Iron. • Name → Symbol: you see "Tungsten", you pick W. • Atomic number: you get the proton count, you pick the element. • Which family?: you get an element, you place it in its family. A mixed paper shuffles all four together. A wrong answer shows the right one straight away, so every quiz doubles as revision. Pick 5, 10, 15 or 20 questions. FLASHCARDS One shuffled deck of all 118: the symbol on the front, properties and the fact on the back. Tap to flip, swipe for the next one. KNOW YOUR WEAK SPOTS Each answer is filed under its element family, so the app can tell "fine on halogens" apart from "lost in the lanthanides". The home screen shows your accuracy as a ring with a mark for every family, and the Records tab charts your last seven papers and breaks your answers down family by family. Ten badges track finished quizzes, answer streaks, cards opened and families mastered. NO SIGNAL NEEDED There is no account and no internet permission. Every element, fact and question is inside the app, so it works on a train, in a basement lab or in airplane mode. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to. NOTHING ELSE ATTACHED No ads, no analytics, no crash reporter, no third-party services. Your name, stats and starred elements stay on your phone. Revising for a chemistry exam, getting ready for quiz night, or just wondering which metal melts in your hand (gallium) — AtomLantern keeps the whole table within reach.
