The grove has gone dark. Every rune-stone under the old oaks still holds a sliver of the light that used to keep the wood awake — and the only way to draw it out is to read the numbers carved into them. ArcQuest is a number-chaining puzzle. Drag across touching stones so their values add up to the arc total carved on the old oak. Get it exactly right and the chain bursts into spores, the lit stones go out one by one, and the grove wakes a little further. HOW IT PLAYS • Drag across neighbouring stones — edges and corners both count. • The chain has to hit the arc total exactly. Six stones is the longest arc you can draw. • Lit stones are the targets. Clear every one before your daylight runs out. • The stone you finish on reseeds itself with a bigger value — that's the anchor for your next chain. • Mossed stones shed a layer instead of bursting, so they need a second pass. SIXTY GROVES, SIX CHAPTERS Shallow Roots, Mistwood Hollow, the Fen of Echoes, Bramble Cathedral, the Sunken Ring and finally Heartwood. The board widens, the arc totals climb and the moss spreads as you go deeper. Three stars per grove, awarded on how much daylight you have left when the last stone goes out. MOTES AND UPGRADES Clearing a grove pays motes. Spend them inside a round on a Hint that lights a legal arc, an Undo that rewinds your last chain, or a Reseed that rerolls the board for free. Or bank them in the Emporium for permanent upgrades: Deeper Roots for extra daylight, Rune Sight for free hints at the start of every grove, Spore Bloom for a richer payout.
