為落實馬英九總統 2008 年文化政策白皮書「兩岸合編中華大辭典」之構想，中華文化總會特邀集兩岸數百位學者專家，合力編纂《中華語文大辭典》，歷經六年努力，終於完成 10 萬餘詞條，千萬餘字，並順利付梓。在內容上，本辭典以描寫性、通用性、實用性為主，客觀描寫所收字頭、詞目的音讀、意義和用法，以幫助讀者正確了解和運用現代漢語。在收詞上，本辭典以收錄兩岸通行的常用字、詞和固定短語為主，酌收兩岸現行字形、音讀和詞義不同的詞目，採求同存異、異中求通方式，使兩岸的語言交流暢通而無障礙。此外收釋部分兩岸各自特有的詞彙，以便相互了解。此項工程，自 2010 年初啟動，特邀前教育部國語會主委李鍌教授組成編輯團隊，與大陸中國辭書學會合作編寫，並邀集兩岸學者專家共同編審，務求精確。本辭典收錄兩岸常用字 13,004 字、複音詞和固定短語 88,728 條，凡 101,732 條；以收釋現代漢民族詞語為主，並酌收雙方各自流通的詞語，以反映兩岸用法異同，方便兩岸交流和民眾使用，並提供外國人學習漢語之用。本 app 內詞條源自 https://github.com/g0v/moedict-data-csld，總計正體詞頭 101736，合併後 99224，並有簡體索引 60715 條。支持「注音」、「拼音」以及詞條檢索，更可開啓全文檢索。
