Jiak Simi

Jiak Simi is Singlish for “what to eat?”—and a more personal way to answer the question we ask three times a day. Your taste is personal. Your food recommendations should be too. Jiak Simi learns your palate, then serves up Singapore spots that fit—complete with a clear reason why. No endless scrolling. No generic “best of” list. Just better answers to “Today eat what?” HOW IT WORKS START WITH FOOD YOU ALREADY LOVE Pick a few places you’d happily return to and rate how shiok they were. Your favourites help Jiak Simi understand what good food means to you—no long quiz required. MEET YOUR PALATE COMPASS See your taste take shape across six flavours: Heat, Sweet, Sour, Umami, Rich and Fresh. Take the optional palate quiz to reveal your food archetype—from Asam Queen to Tow Kay Lemak. Your Compass keeps evolving as you rate more places. GET PICKS THAT FIT Browse a fresh feed of personalised recommendations, reshuffled daily. Save a place to try, rate somewhere you’ve eaten, hide a miss or head straight there. Your feed adapts as you go. When Singapore turns rainy, warm and soupy comfort food gets a gentle lift; on hot days, lighter, fresher picks rise instead. DECIDE YOUR WAY Filter by where you are, how far you’ll travel, meal, price, occasion, cuisine or a specific craving. KEEP THE GOOD STUFF Save places to try, log repeat visits and organise your own Jiak Lists. Share a list, import a friend’s, or turn a YouTube link, caption or food list into Singapore spots you can actually save. WHAT YOU GET • Fresh, personalised food picks • Weather-aware picks for rainy and hot days • Plain-English reasons for every recommendation • A six-flavour Palate Compass and food archetype • Halal, vegetarian and vegan filters • Allergen heads-ups on recommendations • Michelin and Bib Gourmand places marked • Home, Work and near-me discovery in list or map view • Lunch and dinner picks on your home screen with the Jiak Picks widget • No account required to look around and save on this device BUILT IN SINGAPORE, FOR SINGAPORE From hawker stalls to destination restaurants, Jiak Simi covers thousands of places across Singapore. Places are tagged by how the food actually tastes—not just a broad cuisine label—so your picks can go deeper than “you like Japanese food.” NO ADS Jiak Simi has no ads, and we do not sell your personal data.
