Full description
See exactly what's flying overhead — right now, in real time, on a live 3D globe, a real map, and through your own camera. Satellite Tracker turns your phone or tablet into a live tracking console for thousands of orbiting objects: the ISS, GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BeiDou navigation constellations, Starlink, weather satellites, and science payloads. Orbits are computed from real, regularly-refreshed orbital elements — not simulated — so what you see is where things actually are. LIVE 3D GLOBE — A rotating, lit 3D-style Earth with real coastlines and country borders, not just an abstract wireframe. Every tracked satellite is plotted at its true position with a name label, color-coded by category. Drag to spin and tilt, or let it auto-rotate; tap any satellite for full detail, or select one to draw its 24-hour ground track. WORLD MAP — Every satellite plotted on a real map, color-coded by category — crewed stations, navigation, weather, communications, debris, science, and more. Select one to draw its 24-hour ground track, or press and hold anywhere to set your observer location from the map instead. SKY MAP — A planetarium-style dome view centered on wherever you've set your location: real background stars from the Yale Bright Star Catalog, sized by brightness and tinted by spectral type, plus every tracked satellite currently above your horizon, each trailing a short motion streak. AR SKY — Hold your phone up and point the camera at the sky: labeled markers overlay live on the camera image for every tracked satellite currently above your horizon, positioned using your device's own compass and tilt sensors. A scrollable strip below the camera view lists everything currently overhead. DASHBOARD — An overview of the whole tracked catalog: how many objects are in each category, and which country/program has the most satellites currently tracked. Tap any tile to drill straight into the exact list of satellites behind that number. SATELLITE DETAIL — Current latitude/longitude/altitude/speed, live visibility from your location, a predicted next pass (rise, peak, set), and catalog information — operator, country/program, launch vehicle, launch year, international designator. YOUR LOCATION — Set your observer location by typing coordinates directly — every view stays in sync with wherever you've set it. LIVE DATA, HONESTLY HANDLED — Fetched from CelesTrak's public orbital element feeds, cached on-device so one flaky connection doesn't wipe out the whole catalog; only falls back to a small bundled sample with no live data and no cache yet. PRIVACY — No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Camera access and any location you set are used only on-device — never collected or sent anywhere.
