DEER RESEARCH FIRST Explore county-level FDR Deer Herd Index research for Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. Compare habitat, herd quality, population indicators, harvest momentum and trophy records, with source information behind the scores. Indexes and estimated timing are scouting aids, not guarantees of what you will see. SCOUT THE GROUND Use aerial imagery, terrain, canopy, sun and wind. View property boundaries and parcel details where public records are available; coverage varies by county. Save stands, routes, food plots and waypoints, measure on the map, and import GPX or KML files. FIND PUBLIC LAND Search public areas, view mapped outlines where available, and follow agency information and official rule links. Public ownership does not establish hunting permission. Check each site's current species, season, weapon, permit and access rules. PLAN YOUR SEASON Use Season Plan for your calendar, sits, sightings, goals and field notebook. Keep buck profiles with photos and notes. Place cameras using location search or saved spots, then record camera details and checks. Keep weapons, gear and packing lists together. FREE SCOUT AND OPTIONAL MEMBERSHIPS Scout is free to download and use. Optional annual memberships are Predator at US$25/year, Slayer at US$40/year and Reaper at US$50/year. Annual memberships renew yearly until canceled. Advanced tools require the corresponding membership, and some services have usage allowances. Sign in to use a membership already associated with your FDR account. Availability of purchase options varies by platform and region. YOUR ACCOUNT AND SAVED DATA An FDR account identifies your membership across signed-in devices. My Wall has account storage. Other hunts, pins and photos currently stay on the device where you save them; keep a Scout backup file before replacing a phone or clearing app data. GPX and GeoJSON exports support moving map data to other tools. An internet connection is required to load online maps and research. Location is optional. Data coverage and source dates vary.
