Lightning Alert is the app for sites protected by dTECT (South Africa) and Meteo Insights (international): live lightning detection, siren alerting and instant notifications for every site you belong to. • Your site at a glance: alert state, hold countdown and every detection unit's presence, live from the site's broker. • Live strike map: cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud strikes as they happen, your distance to the nearest strike, and each site's trigger ranges. • Alerts: lightning alerts and all-clears across your sites, with push notifications during siren hours. • Trigger and all-clear: managers can sound the sirens or stand them down from the phone, with an audit trail of who did what. • History: alert transitions, strikes in range by day, and unit events for each site. • Joining is simple: pick your school or organisation from the list and ask to join; its manager approves. • One app, two brands: choose dTECT or Meteo Insights and the app follows your sites. An account with site membership is required. Sign in with email, Google or Apple, then pick your site from the list.

What's new

Signing out now fully disconnects the previous account, so switching accounts no longer leaves stale site data requests running. New accounts receive alerts from their first session.
